¶ In less than two months I will be graduating from Smith College with a double Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Government. If you’ve been here, two months from the end of four years of ‘higher education’, you know what this feels like. If you’re here right now, sitting through another Wednesday night right along with me, you know how illogically quickly The End is approaching.
¶ As I see it, Sr. Time, you have two options: either move slower, and give me some slightly better odds of figuring out the next steps, or rampage right along and get it over with quickly so I no longer have to feign interest in all of this.
¶ Either way, when the curtain falls and they hand me a piece of paper worth $160,000, I’ll be standing in Northampton with a U-Haul worth of books and college furniture. And so help me, at that point I will not still be looking for direction and an apartment.
